Prends du temps (Take Time), 2024

Manipulable sculptures, 3D printed from 3D scans derived from co-creations produced by students during the workshop, variable dimensions

Prends du temps is a series of white sculptures produced through 3D printing and discreetly integrated into a white wall. Designed to be handled, they invite a sensory experience that goes beyond visual perception alone.

These tactile forms originate from the “Perceptions” workshop led by CAC Brétigny.

During the workshop, students explored their perception of the body and time through molding and modeling. Each sculpture combines a fragment of the human body with a personalized clock, challenging conventional ways of representing time within a 24-hour system.

The creations developed with the students were digitized to form the landscape of the co-created video game Tempo Rubato. This virtual world is an immaterial environment, devoid of physical texture or volume, primarily experienced through vision.

To transcend this visual limitation, Mona Young-eun Kim re-materialized these digital forms through 3D printing, enabling tactile engagement and expanding the sensory experience.
