Eraser blue

2021

Interactive AR sculpture, acrylic paint on Plexiglas, aluminium, LED

110 × 90 × 15 cm

By scanning Eraser Blue with the Doublage augmented reality application, viewers can choose from different language options. Once a language is selected, words in Arabic, Korean, English, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese and French—or even emojis—are projected onto the installation.

Some encounter the work in a familiar language, while others find themselves surrounded by incomprehensible signs.

Through this augmented reality layer, the space is divided between those who access information through the screen and those who remain in a “silent world.”

Whether comprehensible or not, language becomes a visual and symbolic presence, inhabiting the void left by the erased signs.
